Put on your thong and brunch by the pool: The Clevelander in Miami Beach is reopening
The party is about to get started again at The Clevelander South Beach — though in a brand new way.
The Clevelander Kitchen & Bar reopens this week for dine-in service at the pool and patio area, which has been expanded onto Ocean Drive, now closed to traffic. Miami Beach restaurants started reopening last week after COVID-19 closures in March.
We know, we know. We tend to think of the Clevelander as a outdoor club where thongs and hedonistic anarchy reign. But the restaurant, which will be open for lunch, dinner and a new weekend brunch, serves up more than drinks.
For lunch and dinner, expect items liked grilled buffalo wings, grilled churrasco steak and burgers every which way. The new brunch menu on weekends includes avocado huevos rancheros, hash brown frittata and maple cinnamon waffle stack. And what’s brunch without a few burger specials?
Of course, all brunches must include drink specials, in this case $75 Moet bottle specials plus $30 rosé bottle specials. You can also order $10 Sea Breeze cocktails.
The seating on Ocean Drive helps The Clevelander to follow social distancing restrictions put in place as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Other new rules and safety measures are in effect as well, including rules prohibiting more than four people at a table and requiring everyone to wear a mask in public areas.
And not all areas of the popular watering hole are reopening. Closed still are the Game On Sports Bar, C-LEVEL Rooftop Terrace and SPF 4 Sun Deck. On the bright side, the restaurant is offering 20 percent off food and drink to locals all summer long. You’ll need a valid ID.
