Local 10 has a new traffic reporter, which will be great when we start driving again

Congratulations to Alexis Frasier. She’s the new traffic anchor at WPLG-Local 10, the station announced. So far, it’s looking like a pretty smooth gig.

Frazier will be working to help drivers navigate the road on two newscasts when you need her most, Monday through Friday, 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

But for right now, things are a bit slow.

On her first day, Monday, Frazier said, “I think everyone is at home watching ‘Star Wars,’ right now,” referring to the May 4 holiday for fans of the classic movies.

“Traffic is looking beautiful.”

We have a feeling the Fort Lauderdale native will have her work cut out for her soon.

Beside tracking cars, the Florida A&M University graduate (Class of 2013) writes in her bio that she is a lover of “palm trees, beaches, Beyonce and food.”

With a few stints in Mississippi, South Carolina and Texas behind her, “Alexis is excited to be back home and to continue living her dream,” the station said.
