Watch out, Dr. Fauci. There’s a new health hero bobblehead selling for a good cause
Now the famous Dr. Anthony Fauci is not the only member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force to have his own bobblehead.
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has unveiled a new medical hero figure who has become TV famous during the coronavirus pandemic: Dr. Deborah Birx, Coronavirus Response Coordinator.
The bobblehead is even wearing one of her trademark scarves. Because in addition to her impressive medical acumen and training, Dr. Birx possesses a strong scarf game. The scarves have their own Twitter parody account and the Instagram account @deborahbirxscarves dedicated to them.
A former U.S. Army colonel and a Pennsylvania native, Birx started her career as a military-trained clinician in immunology with the Department of Defense during the HIV/AIDS epidemic and was influential in one of the most important HIV vaccine trials in American history.
The bobblehead is $25 and can only be ordered at https://store.bobbleheadhall.com/products/drbirx. Shipping is $8, and the museum expects to ship in July.
As it did with the Fauci bobblehead, the museum is donating $5 from every Dr. Birx Bobblehead sold to the Protect The Heroes Fund in support of the 100 Million Mask Challenge. The museum, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has already raised more than $130,000 through the sale of the Dr. Fauci bobbleheads.
