Who do you know working to fight coronavirus? You can help them win a new car

Miami Beach’s dazzling military air and sea show, originally scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend, won’t happen in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But the National Salute to America’s Heroes, presented by Hyundai and one of the largest air and sea shows in the United States, is not passing up a chance to salute heroes. It’s just that this time, it will be honoring heroes on the ground - and needs your help to do so.

“Salute 365” will applaud local healthcare professionals, first responders and others risking their own safety to care for others in their communities.

The show is seeking nominations for heroes who will win new 2020 Hyundai Sonatas as a thank-you for their service. There will be four winners in three categories: healthcare professional; first responder; and unsung community hero.

“Because our show is so closely connected with Memorial Day, we think it’s fitting to pay tribute on that day to the deserving members of our community who are on the front lines fighting against this world-wide pandemic and express our appreciation and gratitude for their service,” said Mickey Markoff, executive producer of The National Salute to America’s Heroes, in a press release.

You can nominate local candidates at USASalute.com/hero. Winners will be chosen by May 15 and announced Memorial Day weekend. The winners will get their Sonatas on Memorial Day.

The Hyundai Air & Sea Show returns next year during Memorial Day weekend on May 29-30, 2021.
