Can you take a better quarantine photo of Miami than @ourgivingworld? Give it your best shot.
We’ve got a long way to go in this coronavirus quarantine situation. We can’t go out. We can’t hang with our friends. We can’t even spend our days complaining about traffic on the Palmetto, because there is no actual traffic on the Palmetto.
So it’s time to get creative inside - and maybe get rewarded for it.
Explorest, a travel photography app that was co-founded in Miami, is running a contest to see who can shoot the best quarantine photo.
Now, Explorest usually tries to help people find the most gorgeous spots in the world so they can photograph them. But these are trying times, and you’re stuck in your home. Explorest understands:
“We want to empower our community to stay creative and inspired during difficult times, which is why we’re challenging you to creatively showcase your quarantine, or as we’ve coined it: #explorantine,” says the Instagram post.
Here’s what you do: create an Instagram post or story of quarantine views (stills or video are both accepted). Use the hashtag #explorantine and tag @explorest and two friends you’d like to be quarantined with. You can enter as many times as you like, but each entry must be new and your profile must be public.
And hurry up: Submissions close at midnight April 5, with a winner announced at 3 p.m. EST April 6.
