‘Dude, you almost died!’: Youtube star Logan Paul had a scary run-in with a stingray

Logan Paul is mixing with business and pleasure in South Florida, as well as near-death experiences.

The celebrity vlogger, older brother of fellow YouTube star Jake Paul — who won a fight at Meridian at Island Gardens in Miami last week against rival Ali “AnEsonGib” Gib — had a serious run-in with wildlife in the area.

Logan posted a video Wednesday of him out fishing for an upcoming episode of YouTube show “BlacktipH,” off the coast.

One video shows him with host Josh Jorgensen off a dock in shallow water, face to face with a large sea creature; both are crouching.

“It’s a spotted eagle ray,” says the angler. (Caveat: We do not have confirmation from wildlife experts that Jorgensen identified the species correctly.)

Paul pets it gently, then the fish makes an aggressive move and thrashes violently.

“Oh! Whoa! Oh s--t!” he screams.

The ray flips like crazy and then suddenly, violently, points its barb at the Internet celebrity as he flinches and jumps away.

“Dude, you almost just died. It tried to stab you!” says Jorgensen. “Oh my god!”

Seemingly relieved, Paul jumps up out of the water and rolls onto the dock, very much alive.

He will live to vlog another day.

“He’s out!” says someone off camera.

On the post, Paul captioned the video, “That was close,” and fans were concerned.

“That was probably the same ray that got Steve [Irwin],” wrote one, referring to the so called Crocodile Hunter/wildlife expert who was killed in a freak attack by a ray’s barb off the coast of Australia in 2006.

“Steve Irwin vibes,” wrote another.

“That could have been fatal, no?”

No. Paul is fine, but Mother Nature has put him on blast.

We reached out to Jorgensen to hear more about this scary encounter and have yet to hear back.
