Lady Gaga poured her heart out to Oprah in Sunrise. Now we want to give her a hug

Lady Gaga, tell us how you really feel.

The pop superstar sat down with Oprah Winfrey on Saturday as a special guest during the talk show mogul’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus tour at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.

Though she touched briefly on her music, most of the conversation was of a deeply personal nature.

Throughout the hour, Gaga got emotional discussing past traumas, as well as disturbing health issues.

Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, opened up about being “repeatedly raped” by a family friend when she was 19 and then developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Because she never processed that trauma and shot quickly to fame, she believes that she internalized what happened and the emotional pain turned physical.

“I all of a sudden became a star and was traveling the world going from hotel room to garage to limo to stage, and I never dealt with it,” she told Oprah. “And then all of a sudden I started to experience this incredible intense pain throughout my entire body that mimicked the illness I felt after I was raped.”

The native New Yorker was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a painful chronic rheumatic condition. Even while sitting on stage, she said the “Poker Face” singer admitted was in “head to toe pain.” Ouch.

At one point, she turned to self harm such as cutting herself to deal with how badly she was hurting.

“I also used to throw myself against the wall,” Gaga admitted. “I used to do some horrible things to myself when I was in pain.”

The 33 year old is currently treating the condition with medication and mental health therapy, and thinks others should follow suit.

Gaga is committed to helping others through her Born This Way Foundation.

“I want mental health to be its own class,” she said. “We should be learning about the brain and the heart, and the mind and the body and its connection and all the things. I want there to be someone in every school that someone can go to if they’re in need of help, or that someone can go to if they see that someone else needs help.”

You’re crying, we’re not crying.

Oprah, who teared up during the talk, thanked her guest on Instagram afterward: “Your willingness to ‘go there’ with your vulnerability opened all our hearts today.”
