Julio Iglesias building mansion in Indian Creek

Spanish singer Julio Iglesias is doing his bit to boost the local real estate market. Enrique’s pop, who’s 68, just bought a $15.2 million waterfront mansion in Indian Creek Village, an exclusive golf island in the Intracoastal off Miami Beach. According to records, Iglesias owns the empty lot next door, four acres assessed at $7.2 million. And you won’t believe what he’s about to do now: First, Iglesias tells The Wall Street Journal, he’s going to renovate the 5,500-square-foot, six-bedroom house he just got. He plans on moving in by Christmas with his much younger wife and their five kids. Then, the aging heartthrob plans to live there while keeping an eye on the construction of a 20,000-square-foot hacienda on the vacant lot! “After a lifetime of traveling the world, I can say that Indian Creek is my favorite place on the planet,” Iglesias said.
