DJ Khaled: consider yourself warned.

The mega producer is under fire for something on his his favorite social media platform: Snapchat.

A consumer watchdog group called out the Miami celeb for his promotion of alcohol; apparently Truth in Advertising has been following DJK’s comings and goings for about 10 months.

According to a release, they found that from June 2017 to March 2018, Khaled promoted Cîroc Vodka, Bumbu Rum, Belaire sparkling wine, and D’Ussé cognac on his social media over 300 times.

“The vast majority of the time he provided no indication that his posts were ads – in violation of federal law. His promotion of alcohol to his large fan base of minors also violates the policies of these social media platforms and industry groups as well as social responsibility norms.”

Ruh-roh.

Well, those problematic ads have all but vanished.

Seems a threatening letter from attorneys did the trick.

So we won’t be seeing  Khaled’s lighting up his social media with booze anymore.

“DJ Khaled has done the right thing by disclosing his material connections to these alcohol brands,” said TINA.org Executive Director Bonnie Patten on the website. “Time will tell if he is truly committed to ensuring that his followers are not misled by deceptive ads on his social media accounts. As for the alcohol companies, their failure to make certain that DJ Khaled complied with FTC law is absolutely inexcusable.”
