Celebrity spotting in Miami

Sharon Gless and friends were seen having dinner Friday at Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. Donald Sutherland was back Sunday to his seemingly favorite Miami restaurant, Makoto in Bal Habour, where he and wife Francine Racette enjoyed an array of Omakase from the sushi bar. Celebs showed up Saturday at The Thompson Hotel for the Veuve Clicquot Carnaval’s poolside brunch and champagne fete. Solange Knowles danced to the beats of the steel drummers and snapped photos of the Samba dancers. Seen toasting: Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi and Gone Girl’s Emily Ratajkowski. Telenovela star William Levy, meanwhile, spent the afternoon posing with the samba dancers, enjoying the Brazilian feast and booze. Breaking a sweat at Anatomy at 1220 with owner/former-NFL Marc Megna this weekend were professional athletes Jose Iglesias (Detroit Tigers) and Jon Beason (N.Y. Giants). Also at the new members-only wellness facility, restaurateurs Maggio and Guiseppe Cipriani, perhaps trying to work off all those carbs. New York Knicks player Amar’e Stoudemire was seen supping Sunday at Prime 112. Transformers director Michael Bay was seen having a late dinner Saturday at Katsuya at SLS South Beach.
