Diddy throws a welcome party for Derek Jeter. You weren’t invited, but everybody else was there
Derek Jeter celebrated his Miami homecoming Thursday with much Miami fanfare at Komodo.
Komodo owner David Grutman and Sean “Puff Daddy/Diddy/Puffy/P.Diddy” Combs hosted the party, and Combs’ Ciroc French Vanilla sponsored it. Not surprisingly, there was no shortage of vodka or boldfaced names.
Friends joined the new Miami Marlins owner Jeter: DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, French Montana (who hosted a private mixer earlier at Byblos to launch that French Vanilla Ciroc), Prince Royce, James Cruz and Diddy’s girlfriend Cassie.
Ever the host, Diddy toasted Jeter, congratulating him on his new team as the packed restaurant cheered on.
Afterward some of the crew joined Diddy and Cassie, Prince Royce and French Montana at Story Miami, where they met up with rappers OT Genasis and Flo Rida. The group ordered more Ciroc and DeLeon tequila, and lovebirds Diddy and Cassie danced and snuggled.
The crew partied until after 3:30 a.m. If Combs wants to buy the NFL, we have a feeling he’ll have to call it a night a lot sooner next time.
