A sneakerhead’s dream: Sleep surrounded by DJ Khaled’s shoe collection for one night

Fans of DJ Khaled (and sneakers) will want to start planning their next getaway immediately.
The hip-hop mogul is opening up his famously vast collection of kicks to absolute strangers as an Airbnb, with limited bookings starting next Tuesday.
Major key alert: The bed you sleep in is inside a windowless closet, surrounded by millions worth of rubbery shoes, more than 10,000 pairs, to be exact.
“Sneakers are an essential part of hip hop culture and collecting them is an art, just like creating music,” said DJ Khaled in a statement. “We bring the same passion and energy to the shoe game as we do the studio. That’s why we’re excited to share our sneaker kingdom with fans and give them a chance to walk in our shoes, literally.”
We digress. Guests do get access to the rest of the pad, too. The plush pad, located “somewhere on the Miami River,” insiders told us, also features a sweet outdoor lounge and pool, plus 24-hour concierge.
Also among the perks: You will go home to your actual closet with a hand-signed Jordan 5s from Khaled’s new We The Best collection.
But, big but: The mega producer is only offering this unusual location for two one-night stays, occurring on Dec. 5 and 6, for two lucky guests each (we doubt there is room for anyone else). The price is just $11 a night, a nod to the big guy’s shoe size.
Bookings begin at 1 p.m. Nov. 29 at airbnb.com/wethebest. You are responsible for getting to the 305 on your own. Sorry, Khaled doesn’t have his own airline — yet.
