This new hotel that just opened in Miami Beach has a two-tier rooftop bar and pool
There’s a new place to stay in South Beach’s Sunset Harbour neighborhood.
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach is open for business, with an exterior designed by Miami architect Kobi Karp and interiors from Chapi Chopo.
The best part? It’s got a 6,000-square-foot, two-tier rooftop bar and a pool with a view of Biscayne Bay. The bar doesn’t open until May, however. When it does, expect cocktails from Altamarea Group from New York.
“There’s no place quite like South Beach – and accordingly, there’s no place in South Beach quite like Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach,” said general manager Fernando Rivera in a press release. “We’ve created this property to transport our guests to another world, from the nautical-inspired lobby to the stylish rooftop boasting expansive views of the city.”
The lobby of the hotel, owned and developed by Richard and Ronny Finvarb of Finvarb Group, features art displays and designs reminiscent of the ocean. It’s designed to look like the hull of a private luxury yacht. Guests can expect complimentary Panther Coffee in the lobby every day.
If you really want to be fancy, book the hotel’s 800-square-foot signature Sunset Harbour Balcony Corner King. With your reservation, you get a complimentary pool cabana reservation with a bottle of prosecco, in-room welcome amenity, early check in/check out based on availability and daily turn down service.
Coming in May is Osteria Morini, with Chef Michael White at the helm, just off the hotel lobby. The restaurant, which will have indoor and outdoor dining, will serve northern Italian cuisine, with small plates to share, meats, pastas and fresh seafood.
