New Yorker Boutique Hotel

The Magic City gets a taste of the Big Apple with the MiMo District’s New Yorker Boutique Hotel. Husband & wife team Walter & Shirley Figueroa are halfway through a multi-year renovation and the results are compelling, while the rates are dirt cheap. Rates start at $75 per night and rooms mix Scandinavian-inspired furniture with powder blue walls, original terrazzo floors and flat screen plasmas. Book the Coppertone Corner Room for a bit of additional space (it’s a corner room) an homage to the famed sunbather. Or, try the Soho Suite for a black leather rhinestone studded bed, wet bar and private balcony overlooking Biscayne Bay.
