There’s a new hotel on Miami Beach, and you may actually be able to afford it
A new hotel has just opened on Miami Beach – and you are actually going to be able to afford it.
Will you want to stay there? Check out these photos and decide.
Generator Miami is now open at 3120 Collins Ave. The project, overseen by Argent Design, offers up 300 beds in 105 rooms, with an eye toward blending design, low prices and engaging social environments. And when we say low prices, we mean low prices: opening rates start at $20 for beds in shared accommodations and $95 for private rooms with ensuite bathrooms.
The concept is popular in Europe: Generator reports that the repeat-stay rate for guests is 45 percent.
Here’s what the hotel looks like:

Shared rooms
Six-bed dormitory style rooms are available, too.
Restaurants
Generator Miami’s director of bar and restaurant concepts is Gui Jaroschy, who’s best known for launching Broken Shaker. So expect really creative cocktails.
Public rooms
Expect the unexpected in the public areas. Sure, you can play pool – but you may also join in yoga classes, rap battles and mixology demos.
