Menin Hospitality Group and Newgard Development Group jus announced their partnership to create Gale Boutique Hotel & Residences in Fort Lauderdale, set to open in late 2016. The property, located at 2900 Riomar Street, will come to life in a 1949 Mid-Century Modern building originally designed by Theo A. Meyer and Lester Avery, housing the 96-room boutique hotel. Additionally, a brand new 12-story tower will be erected to accommodate the 128 residences, consisting of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom fully furnished units and townhomes.
While the property isn’t directly waterfront, it’s steps away from the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean with sweeping views of Fort Lauderdale.

This will be the first hotel residence concept from Menin, which opened the trendy Gale South Beach in 2012, followed by Kaskades Suites expansion just across the street in December 2014.
“Gale Fort Lauderdale’s aesthetic and ambiance will echo the sexy, sophisticated persona we’ve introduced at Gale South Beach while paying homage to Fort Lauderdale Beach’s history as a resort town,” explains Menin Hospitality Principal Keith Menin. “We’re going to strike a balance, positioning Gale Fort Lauderdale as a lifestyle destination for people from around the world and a welcomed amenity for our condo owners and locals from around the corner.”
Owners of the residences have the option to enroll their property into the rental program and enjoy all of the amenities of the hotel, from room service to pool access. Units start at $385,000.
