Miami’s hotel scene is booming and there’s a slew of exciting new properties on the horizon in the coming months. Here’s your guide to city’s future hot spots from South Beach to Brickell.

EAST, Miami at Brickell City Centre – Brickell

Slated Opening Date: June 2016

EAST, Miami hotel (788 Brickell Plaza, Brickell; pictured at top) is set to open in June 2016 as part of Phase One of Brickell City Centre. The Swire Properties Inc. $1.05 billion, LEED-registered for Neighborhood Development project encompasses 5.4 million-square-feet of mixed-use space in downtown Miami, which will include a luxury shopping center, two residential towers, a wellness center, and office building in addition to EAST, Miami. The lifestyle hotel, designed by award-winning architecture firm Arquitectonica, boasts 352 guest rooms and a 20,000-square-foot poolscape. It will be home to Uruguay’s Quinto La Huella restaurant situated on the hotel’s fifth floor with a stone hearth oven, sushi bar and indoor/outdoor seating. Sugar rooftop bar will offer cocktails paired with Brickell views.

ME Miami – Downtown

Slated Opening Date: Early Summer 2016

Massive Spanish hotel group Melia has plans to open their first Miami property downtown in Spring 2016 a stone’s throw from the Adrienne Arsht Center and American Airlines Arena on Biscayne Boulevard. ME Miami (1100 Biscayne Blvd., Downtown; 305-350-9828) will feature a 14th floor rooftop pool and bar, as well as a high-energy lounge and an outpost of STK.

Plymouth Hotel – South Beach

 Slated Opening Date: June 2016

South Beach’s Collins Park will have another hip boutique hotel on its hands this June when Think Hotel Group opens its third hotel in the neighborhood, the highly anticipated Plymouth Hotel (336 21st St., South Beach). The restored Art Deco gem will be reimagined by designer Fernando Santangelo who also put his touch on the neighborhing Raleigh Hotel, as well as LA’s legendary Chateau Marmont. They’re also introducing some New York swagger into the mix with Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill from acclaimed chefs Bruce & Eric Bromberg.

Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc – Miami Beach

Slated Opening Date: Fall 2016

Nobu Hotel is bringing its “hotel within a hotel” concept to Miami Beach’s legendary Eden Roc Resort (4525 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-531-0000) with a concept by a few names you might be familiar with: Chef Nobu, Academy award-winner Robert DeNiro and Hollywood producer Meir Teper. At 210 rooms with a Signature Nobu Restaurant onsite, it’s the follow up to the Las Vegas iteration inside Caesars Palace. The hotel will encompass a 15th floor penthouse and beachfront restaurant Malibu Farms.

Washington Park Hotel – South Beach

Slated Opening Date: Fall 2016

Restoring a collection of four Art Deco buildings on Washingon Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets, the Washington Park Hotel will open in the fall as a 182-room boutique hotel occupying over an acre of meandering gardens linking the buildings. Along with it comes the acclaimed New York City Employees Only bar and restaurant, a Prohibition Era speakeasy-style establishment inside an early 20th century bungalow on the property.

Greystone Hotel – South Beach

 Slated Opening Date: Late 2017

VOS Hospitality is restoring another Art Deco haunt near South Beach’s Collins Park to create the newfangled Greystone Hotel (1920 Collins Ave., South Beach), a 92-room boutique hotel. With architectural design by Shulman & Associates, they hope to “recreate the essence of Miami’s Golden Era.” The restoration will include the erection of a new five-story tower, a rooftop swimming pool, 140-seat restaurant and a subterranean speakeasy lounge.

Slated Opening Date: November 2016

Kimpton Hotels is opening their first Caribbean outpost in Grand Cayman with Seafire Resort & Spa, Seven Mile Beach (800-546-7866).
