This popular Puerto Rican cafe brings breakfast and brunch to downtown Miami
A little piece of Puerto Rico has just opened in downtown Miami.
Straight from the resort destination Isla Verde comes Bistro Café, a new restaurant that focuses on serving upscale breakfast. Who doesn’t need upscale breakfast at all hours of the day?
This is the first Bistro Café in the continental United States. In addition to breakfast, the 4,800-square-foot restaurant at the Art Plaza luxury apartment complex serves brunch and lunch as well as mimosas and other cocktails. There’s also indoor and outdoor seating.
Of course, if you prefer a good cup of coffee, that’s available, too.
The menu is what you’re going to remember, judging from the bistro’s Instagram account:
“At first when we opened our flagship in Isla Verde, our clientele was 100 percent tourists looking for a good breakfast,” said Jan Karlo Ruiz in a statement. Ruiz co-owns the restaurant with Tamara Perez.
“But soon Bistro Café became a hot spot for a good brunch and good coffee for tourists and locals alike. We saw the same dynamic in downtown Miami – there’s not a lot of breakfast places that offer an upscale, elaborate breakfast. The differentiator is that we use only the best cuts of meat and the freshest products.”
