The Bahamas: In good spirits

Seasoned rum connoisseurs, cultured consumers, social sippers and plain old rum lovers will have the opportunity to treat themselves at Festival RumBahamas, scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1 at historical Fort Charlotte in Nassau. Celebrating the islands’ long history with pirates and rum that began in the 1600s, the festival will present an assembly of local, regional and international rum exhibitors for product samplings along with master classes on rum, bartending and cocktail competitions, and international and local chefs demonstrating the creative use of rum in cooking.
