How many times have you been ready to leave your hotel room for the day’s explorations, but had a nagging feeling you might be forgetting something you really want to have on hand? You’re less likely to leave important things behind if you can’t open the door without being confronted by a big bold “DO NOT FORGET!” sign as you reach for the door handle.

And what if, along with that admonition, the sign is holding all the items you are not supposed to forget? What you’ve got there, bless it, is the Home-X Do Not Forget Door Knob Organizer, which looks a lot like one of those Do Not Disturb doorknob hangers that ward off housekeepers.

Except this accommodating door hanger has built-in pouches, pockets and a key clip, where ideally you have placed your keys, wallet, sunglasses, maps, pens, vouchers, cellphone, notepad and whatever else does not want to be left behind. Made of thick sturdy canvas, the 12-inch-long by 6-inch-wide organizer is two-faced — in a good way. On its reverse side, a wide, canvas loop strip is just the right size for holding outgoing mail or a newspaper.
