Frontier Airlines adds new route from FLL airport after Spirit shutdown
Frontier Airlines has picked up eight routes previously served by Spirit, including one out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The carrier introduced the expanded schedule on Sunday, July 5, as it joins other airlines filling the gap left after Spirit shuttered service in early May.
The routes include daily nonstop flights between FLL and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Introductory fares start at $49 through July 12, according to the airline.
