You can try new menus on 14 Carnival cruise ships this summer
New menus are enhancing summer cruise vacations across half of Carnival Cruise Line's fleet as the line advances The Next Course, a major culinary initiative that aims to upgrade cruise dining. Passengers can expect elevated dishes and enhanced variety alongside passenger-favorite menu items from the main dining room to the Lido Marketplace buffet.
While all ships in the fleet are now offering Bagels @ Sea, a new Lido Deck breakfast option, and a new Lido Family Menu in the buffet, refreshed main dining room menus haven't yet rolled out to every ship.
Carnival's culinary team is in the process of testing and tweaking new menus for breakfast, brunch, and dinner in the main dining room. As Carnival's new menu rollout continues in 2026, about half of the fleet is currently testing the new menus.
Here's what to know about which Carnival cruise ships are offering the new menus in summer 2026 and what you can expect from the cruise line's enhanced culinary offerings.

Carnival to pause new menu rollout
Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald shared an update on the new menu rollout and testing process in a June 22 video on his popular Facebook page.
As of June 22, 13 Carnival ships are testing the new menus:
- Carnival Magic
- Mardi Gras
- Carnival Panorama
- Carnival Sunshine
- Carnival Liberty
- Carnival Jubilee
- Carnival Pride
- Carnival Spirit
- Carnival Conquest
- Carnival Vista
- Carnival Miracle
- Carnival Celebration
- Carnival Venezia
In early July, Carnival Dream will join the list as it begins serving the new menus on its Western Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Galveston, Texas.
Carnival's new menu rollout to pause
After Carnival Dream adds the new menus, the culinary team plans to pause the rollout to evaluate feedback and make any additional tweaks before introducing the menus on more ships.
"They just pressed the pause button…and they are going to be evaluating all the comments, both on social media and also on the ships, in the reviews that we send most of you, or any general comments that have been made to the dining room staff," Heald explained. "So, they are going to see what you love and maybe if we need to tweak anything."

Heald promised to share more news on the rollout schedule once the pause for menu feedback evaluation is complete.
The brand ambassador frequently receives new menu questions from cruisers eager to know if their next sailing will offer a chance to try some of Carnival's latest culinary enhancements.
Popular new menu features include Carnival Crew Favorites dishes, elevated brunch choices
Vacationers sailing on the 14 ships offering the new main dining room menus this summer can expect a variety of new selections, such as featured Carnival Crew Favorites dishes inspired by global flavors at dinner, as well as expanded comfort food choices and more wellness-focused options for Seaday Brunch.
Heald shared some of his personal favorite dishes from the new dinner menu in an earlier post after sailing on Carnival Spirit in May. Those dishes included Kung Pao chicken, mushroom soup, swordfish, filet mignon, beef Wellington, chicken satay, sticky pork belly, lobster tail, and prime rib.

Passenger reviews of Carnival's new menus have been very positive, driving anticipation for the vacation meals to come as cruisers look forward to summer and fall vacations at sea.
"The new menu is absolutely amazing. The new desserts are off the chain and for our recent cruise my husband kept ordering two entrees because he could not decide! The lemon soufflé pancakes for Seaday Brunch should be illegal they are so good! I'm over the moon happy with the new menu options," Julie Cole commented on Heald's May 16 post about his favorite menu items.
