A major South Florida mall adds a TSA kiosk to speed things up at the airport

Getting through airport security faster can start with your next trip to the mall.

CLEAR, a TSA PreCheck provider, recently announced the opening of an enrollment kiosk at Aventura Mall in Northeast Miami-Dade. The kiosk allows travelers to quickly enroll in the TSA PreCheck service in a more convenient location.

This marks the second CLEAR enrollment stop at a South Florida shopping mall. Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise has an enrollment center, too.

TSA PreCheck helps travelers get through airport security quicker. You get access to shorter wait times for TSA security checkpoints as well as getting to keep on your belts and light jackets. During the summer, TSA ended the shoe removal requirement for everyone passing through the checkpoints.

TSA PreCheck costs $78 for five years of enrollment.

The kiosk service only enrolls travelers in TSA PreCheck, but not CLEAR’s full service. Kiosk users are advised to pre-enroll in the service through the company website. Then, at the kiosk, bring your U.S passport or an acceptable form of ID to finish enrolling in the program by using your fingerprint, providing the ID, and paying there.

TSA PreCheck costs $78 for five years of enrollment.

The kiosk can be found on the upper level of Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd., in the hallway near the Chanel fragrance store and the Toku restaurant.
