A Florida airport just added a new flight to the Northeast. See the details
A new direct flight to New York is coming to a Florida airport.
In February 2026, Allegiant Air will begin a direct flight from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport to Rochester, New York. The new route to Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport starts Feb. 13, and will cost as low as $59.
“We’re happy to see Allegiant continue to expand its service at SRQ,” Rick Piccolo, president and CEO of SRQ, said in a statement. “Adding a new route to Rochester ... not only strengthens our ties to the Northeast but also continues to provide our passengers convenient, nonstop travel options.”
The new flight marks Allegiant’s 36th nonstop destination at the Sarasota Bradenton airport, also known as SRQ.
“We are excited to continue our growth trajectory with our new route from Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida to Rochester, New York,” Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer, said ina statement. “As a leisure-focused airline, our unique business model allows us to quickly respond to consumer demand and connect underserved markets to top vacation destinations.”
It’s the third SRQ flight offering to the Empire State, with Syracuse and Albany as the other New York cities serviced.
To receive the introductory $59 one-way fare, flights must be purchased by Wednesday, Aug. 13, for travel by May 19, 2026. The rates do not include optional baggage fees. For more information, visit AllegiantAir.com.
