Airlines are planning new flights at Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports. Take a look
Airlines are adding new flights at Miami and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International.
Take a look at the most recent additions at the airports:
Miami-Dominican Republic
Low-cost airline Arajet expects to start flights between Miami International Airport and Santo Domingo or Punta Cana by summer 2025. The carrier, which serves more than 100,000 fliers each month, aims to start U.S. operations with a daily flight between MIA and either Santo Domingo or Punta Cana and the same for New York between April and June 30.
Miami-Mexico
Mexico’s flagship carrier, Aeromexico, has added daily non-stop service between Cancun and Miami International Airport.
Miami-Italy and France
American Airlines says it’s is adding new service between MIA and Rome this year and also extending its service between MIA and Paris. The daily flight between MIA and Rome’s Fiumicino Airport will start July 5. Daily flights between MIA and Charles de Gaulle Airport near Paris will continue through August.
Miami-Iceland
Icelandair, the flagship carrier of the country with just 394,000 people, will start operating three flights a week from Keflavik International Airport in Reykjavik to Miami International Airport. The airline will fly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The service starts Oct. 25 and will run until the end of March 2026.
Miami-Germany
German low-cost airline Condor Airlines started non-stop flights between Frankfurt and Miami.
Fort Lauderdale-Israel
El Al has resumed nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Tel Aviv. The state-owned carrier flies between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport. The year-round service is twice a week in each direction, leaving Fort Lauderdale on Mondays and Saturdays, about a 12-hour trip.
Miami and Fort Lauderdale-Central America
Starting May 10, Avianca will operate daily service between Miami International Airport and Guatemala City. Also on May 10, Avianca will start a Fort Lauderdale-Managua route.
