Mild, sunny weather — check. Beautiful beaches — check, check. A tropical state of mind — absolutely. There’s no better place than Florida to wake up on the first day of the new year. If you’re looking for resorts and hotels that go all out for New Year’s Eve, or offer front-row seats to area fireworks, check out these places to ring in 2025 with a fabulous bang.

Ring In 2025 Miami-style

It’s no secret that Miami knows how to party, and it will be no different for New Year’s Eve 2025. The iconic Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach always goes all out for New Year’s Eve, hosting epic past performances by Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 on a sprawling oceanfront poolscape. This year, legendary DJ Calvin Harris will take the stage, and you can dance the night away to his electric beats under the stars. There will also be a virtual ball drop and midnight countdown; tickets range from premium open bar to VIP experiences with reserved tables by the pool, stage or lawn. You don’t have to be a hotel guest to attend, but the oceanfront hotel with its ready-to-party poolscape and bevy of restaurants is a great place to stay and kick off 2025.

If you want to be near the annual NYE celebration in Bayfront Park in downtown Miami — where there’s a huge, free party with live entertainment and the largest fireworks show in Miami — check in to The Elser Hotel & Residences for a front-row seat to the revelry. Avoid the park crowds and snag tickets to the exclusive party on the rooftop pool deck that surveys Biscayne Bay and the skyline. Enjoy an open bar and live entertainment, then catch the spectacular bayfront fireworks show from the expansive perch. (Or simply watch the fireworks show from the comfort of your balcony in a residential-style room.) Registered hotel guests can choose from party packages that range from an open bar ticket to VIP packages tailored to larger groups.

Further north, soak up Miami’s warm January weather and the energy of New York at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. The resort, which is a playground for both families and couples, is hosting a gala inspired by the beloved NYE party in Times Square, with themed dining stations, a band and a DJ who will keep you spinning around the dance floor. Stay up for the Times Square countdown at midnight, then wake up to indulge in a spa treatment, a round of golf, or play all day at the on-property water park, Tidal Cove.

Rowdy Revelry In Key West

OK, so it doesn’t get more rowdy than New Year’s Eve on famous Duval Street in Key West, where instead of a ball drop, they lower a huge conch shell outside Sloppy Joe’s Bar. But another can’t-miss sight is female impersonator Randy Roberts being “dropped” from the balcony of the Bourbon St. Pub/New Orleans House in a giant red, high-heeled shoe. Revelers can gather for free outside the bar to watch the fanfare, or buy tickets for a better view and premium experience.

A truly Key West take on the NYE ball drop, watch “shoe drop” this year instead.

If you’d like something more serene, reserve a getaway at The Reach Key West resort where its waterfront Four Marlins restaurant is hosting a flurry of New Year’s events. We suggest welcoming 2025 at the “New Year’s Eve Tide-to-Table dinner,” a toes-in-the-sand experience where you’ll be served a 6-course chef’s tasting menu at a romantic waterfront table. Those who partied too hard the night before can recover with a “Hangover Brunch” on New Year’s Day, or simply chill out in one of the hotel’s cabanas or hammocks.

Party Under The Palms In Palm Beach

No one does New Year’s Eve like The Boca Raton, an upscale Palm Beach resort that boasts accommodations and events for all ages. Adults staying at the resort will flash back in time at the Harborside New Year’s Eve: An Austin Powers Soiree. Don bell-bottoms and platforms for this 1960s-themed event, where you’ll shimmy in a gold-dipped dance hall, sip tiki cocktails at “Dr. Evil’s Volcano Lair,” and watch throwback performances. The real showstopper happens at midnight when guests gather on the resort’s Grand Lawn for fireworks synchronized to 1960s hits. Kids and adults will enjoy the interactive Harbor House Family New Year’s Eve Celebration, fitted with a massive bounce house, activity stations and entertainment including a DJ and magician.

Those wishing to get dolled up in a fancy gown or dapper tuxedo can usher in the new year in sophisticated style at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, where the swanky resort will roll out the proverbial red carpet for its first-ever Black-Tie Gala. Savor a five-course dinner paired with wine and champagne, and sip on premium drinks throughout the night. The highlight of the evening will be a two-hour performance by internationally renowned jazz artist Stella Cole, who will serenade the crowd until it’s time for the midnight countdown.
