Panama City’s tuning up for its 14th annual Jazz-By-the-Bay Festival set for Oct. 17-18 at Oaks-By-the-Bay Park in the St. Andrews sectiontown. Headlining will be the Minneapolis-based Barbary Coast Dixieland Show Band, a nationally acclaimed ensemble. Other artists include guitarist and vocalist Jimmy Ward and his Trio, Latin flautist and vocalist Stephanie Pettis and her Rio ensemble, Tallahassee pianist Bill Peterson and his Trio, the Pensacola State College Jazz Band and popular vocalist Mike Stone and his Trio doing the Sinatra songbook. The festival, as usual, is free and open to the public.
