In a history-making move, Walt Disney World has closed its parks temporarily due to coronavirus concerns. Now, many people are wondering what happens to their tickets. While Disney won’t be giving everyone refunds, the company has set up other reimbursement avenues.

Disney said on Thursday that “in an abundance of caution” Disney theme parks will be closed beginning March 16 through the end of the month. Although the parks will be closed, Disney Resort Hotels and Disney Springs will remain open.

The company also said that its workers will still be paid during the park shutdowns.

Travelers who were planning on going to the park have questions, and Disney gave some answers on Friday:

Tickets

Only certain Disney tickets are eligible for refunds. In other cases, visitors will have to switch their ticket dates.

Disney says unexpired multi-day theme park tickets with unused days, or date-specific theme park tickets, will be extended to any date through Dec. 15. If customers can’t make it to Disney by that time, they may apply the unused ticket to purchase a ticket for a future date.

Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets can be used through July 31.

Guests who purchased tickets for Disney After Hours, Disney Villains After Hours and Disney Early Morning Magic March 16-31 will be automatically refunded.

Annual Passes

All Disney annual passes will be extended by the number of days the parks were closed.

Resorts

Guests who don’t check into a Disney Resort hotel for reservations March 16-31 can modify or cancel their room reservation or travel package. If guests do not modify or cancel, Disney will automatically process a refund within seven days of the check-in date.

Disney is waiving all imposed change and cancellation fees from the date of check-in through June 30.

Dining

All pre-paid dining and experience reservations will be automatically refunded if they are scheduled March 16-31. Dining reservations made at Disney locations that will be closed will not be charged a cancellation or no-show fee.

FastPass+

All FastPass+ reservations during March 16-31 will be automatically canceled.
