Drunk man grabs child’s butt at SeaWorld, cops say. He found himself behind bars.
Waiting to go on a ride at SeaWorld, a child was inappropriately touched by a Cocoa man on Monday, authorities say.
Near closing time, the girl was waiting in line for “Manta,” a fast-paced roller coaster, when she noticed a “suspicious man” behind her looking at her the entire time — the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
When she got off the ride and exited through a gift shop, she told deputies she noticed the man, Kyle Graham, 20, following close behind her. He started walking more quickly toward her and then grabbed her butt and held it for a moment as he passed her, according to the sheriff’s office report.
She screamed, “You grabbed my butt.”
She said Graham looked around and continued walking. She reported the incident to SeaWorld.
When a SeaWorld security officer spoke with the girl, whom the sheriff’s office did not identify, and Graham, the officer recognized him from an earlier incident at the park where his girlfriend and her friend were caught shoplifting. No charges were filed in that incident.
Graham told the security officer, “Yeah, I touched her butt. I’m sorry. I’m lost looking for my family.”
The security guard noticed the girl was “very upset,” so she told her to wait outside. When the girl left, Graham began cursing at the security guard, police said.
He then ran toward the front entrance of the park, where he was apprehended by an Orange County sheriff’s deputy.
As deputies put Graham in the back of a patrol car they smelled alcohol. At 20, Graham is under the state’s drinking age of 21.
Graham was charged with child abuse, battery and disorderly intoxication.
