My earlobes are too big and make me look old. What can I do about that?
Q. I hate my earlobes because they’re big and look just like my father’s! Is there anything I can do to reduce them and make them look better?
A. Earlobes can look cute or can age a person. There are many things that can be done to rejuvenate and improve the way earlobes look.
If you have ear holes that have gotten elongated from using very heavy earrings, those can be fixed by removing the elongated hole and suturing the skin together. Approximately six weeks later you can pierce the earlobe again.
If, with aging, the ears seem flaccid and thin, fillers can be used to pump up the earlobe. This helps support earrings, especially if you’re getting new studs!
If you’re concerned about the size and droopiness of the earlobe, there is a surgical correction for that, which can be done with local anesthesia. The earlobe can be reduced in size and length.
It is important you discuss with your surgeon what you want, so you can plan the procedure to get your desired results. When this procedure is done, the ear hole may be lost, so it will need to be re-pierced approximately six weeks later.
With your cute new earlobes, you can now wear some great diamond studs!
