Shopper’s Dictionary: The Owl’s Brew

What is it? These non-alcoholic tea blends are brewed with the intention of being mixed with spirits and even wine and beer for an easy, tasty approach to cocktail mixology. Owl’s Brew is the stuff you want on your side when you’re having guests over and want to create a party drink but don’t want to spend your night mixing and shaking and measuring and muddling.

The teas come in three flavors (Pink & Black, Classic and Coco-Lada), each of which has suggested alcohol pairings. The best I uncovered in my experiments was Coco-Lada (black tea with coconut, chai and pineapple) chilled with equal parts Champagne. Outstanding.
