Best Seat in the House: Table 54 at Brasserie Central in Coral Gables
The restaurant: Brasserie Central, 320 San Lorenzo Ave., Coral Gables; brasseriecentralmiami.com. The more casual sibling of chef-owner Pascal Oudin’s Pascal’s on Ponce, Brasserie Central is as good a choice for a pre- or post-theater bite as it is a respite from shopping at the Village of Merrick Park.
The table: 54. The four-top has a lovely view of Merrick Park’s courtyard, including a burbling fountain and a parade of high-end cars. A slight but steady breeze keeps the outdoor seating area cool and mellow, even on warmer days.
Nearby theater: Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables.
Playing: “Charlotte’s Web,” part of the KidsBill musical theater for younger audiences, is at 2 p.m. Saturdays from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31; actorsplayhouse.org.
