Snack: Don’t ask why Lay’s would make Reuben-flavored potato chips. Ask instead how they managed to make potato chips that honestly do taste like a Reuben sandwich (or at least like rye bread and a hint of sauerkraut, which amounts to the same thing).

It may be a bizarre idea — it’s one of the flavors submitted by customers as part of a contest — but it turned out shockingly well.

You can sample all four (Greek Gyro, Truffle Fries, and Southern Biscuits and Gravy round out the fan-submitted flavors) and vote for a winner at dousaflavor.com.

Size: 7 3/4 ounces.

Price: $3.29.
