Ruth’s Chris Steak House, 2525 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale. Inspected on June 30; zero violations.

The Bad

Cuban Guys, 1678 NE Miami Gardens Dr., North Miami Beach. Inspected on July 8; 15 violations, including five high-priority. Inspector’s notes: “Approximately 25-plus live roaches found in a food prep area on the floor and wall. Also located in this area are fryers, hood, food prep table and food storage.” Issued an emergency order to close; reopened next day after a follow-up inspection.

The Ugly

Romano’s Macaroni Grill, 2004 NW Executive Center Ct., Boca Raton. Inspected on July 2; 48 violations, including seven high-priority. Inspector’s notes: “Ants in rear prep area by slicer and flour bin, and in front line area by dessert storage cooler ... Observed approximately 15 fresh and five dry rodent droppings in rear prep/dishwashing area and three fresh and two dry rodent droppings on table tops in dining room.” Issued an emergency order to close; reopened next day after a follow-up inspection.
