The latest not-food-in-your-food recall concerns rubber and 59,800 pounds of chicken breast nuggets sold under the Pilgrim’s brand name.

Pilgrim’s Pride recalled 4-pound bags of Pilgrim Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Nuggets after the company, according to the USDA recall notice, “received a consumer complaint reporting rubber pieces in the chicken breast nuggets product.”

Not wanting to be linked to rubber chicken, Pilgrim’s Pride yanked retail bag lot No. 0127 with a best by date of 06 MAY 2021. The bags also have establishment No. P-20728 on the individual bags. The case lot Nos. are 0127105009, 0127105010, 0127105011, 0127105012, 0127105013, 0127105014, 0127105015 and 0127105016.

The nuggets can be tossed out or returned to the store for a full refund. They were sold in Texas, Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon.

Any questions about this recall can be directed to Pilgrim’s Pride Consumer Relations Manager Ed Tyrrell 800-321-1470.
