A packaging goof makes this recalled protein powder a food allergy problem

The new product pouch design for ReStructure Vanilla Protein Powder wasn’t necessarily improved. The new look doesn’t say the product has milk, which is why one lot was recalled.

As is standard, the recall notice warns, “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”

Recalled lots are No. 19211, expiration date 06/21 of the 22-ounce pouches and the 27g individual serving pouches.

Customers who wish to return the powder can send it back to New Capstone, the Mooresville, North Carolina, company that distributes it.

Those with questions can email newcapstonerestructurerecall@gmail.com or call New Capstone at 888-577-3703, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 pm., Eastern time, or the weekends, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eastern time.
