Three frozen steam bag entrees, one sold at Walmart and two sold at stores such as Winn-Dixie, fresco y mas and Bi Lo, were yanked Sunday night by manufacturer VICS Acquisition over a food allergy problem.

The happi foodi store finder says shoppers can find happi foodi Bloody Mary Inspired Chicken at Walmarts nationwide. SE Grocers Marsala Chicken and Mediterranean Herb Chicken were sold at Southeastern Grocers stores — Winn-Dixie, fresco y mas, Bi Lo, Harvey’s — in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.

The entrees have egg. The list of ingredients on the packaging don’t list egg. For those with egg allergies or taking care of someone with an egg allergy, that is a potentially dangerous problem.

So much so that the USDA considers this a Class 1, High Health Risk recall, defined as “This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”
