Bottled smoothie recalled for “potential presence of foreign matter,” Publix announces
Three lots of Odwalla Superfood bottled smoothies have been recalled by parent company Coca-Cola, Publix announced Friday.
Publix quotes Coca-Cola’s statement: “This product does not meet our high-quality standards due to the potential presence of foreign matter in a specific ingredient used in this product. Consumers are urged NOT to drink this product subject to the voluntary recall.”
The lot numbers recalled, at least of the 15.2-ounce bottles sold at Publix, are Aug 3118 AS; Sep 0218 AS; and Sep 0318 AS. Those who bought the recalled smoothies should return them to the store of purchase for a full refund.
Anyone with questions can call Coca-Cola 1-800-438-2653.
