This recalled cereal might contain something it shouldn’t. You might be allergic to it.
For the second time in a week, an organic cereal gets recalled nationwide after a packing mistake endangers those with peanut allergies.
General Mills recalled boxes of Cascadian Farm Organic Cinnamon Raisin Granola produced on July 15 and 16 because they might contain almonds, an allergen not declared on the packaging. The affected boxes have Best By dates of March 20, 2018 or March 21, 2018 followed by the plant code “JK.”
“Consumers with nut allergies should not consume products bearing the affected code dates and should contact General Mills for a replacement or full refund,” declared the recall notice on the FDA site.
Consumers with questions or wanting a refund should call General Mills Consumer Services at 1-800-624-4123.
Three days before General Mills’ recall, Whole Foods yanked boxes of 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran when it was found the boxes actually contained Peanut Butter Cocoa Balls.
