Glass shards in the dip leads to a recall by Publix

Publix has recalled a run of its Artichoke and Spinach Dip because it might contain small glass shards.

Publix said in its FDA recall announcement that customer complaints alerted the company to the problem.

Since March 23, there have been eight FDA or USDA-announced recalls of food for containing non-food elements such as golf balls, plastic and a bat.

The recall covers 16-ounce containers of the dip with a Use By date of May 16 A1 or May 16 C1 and a UPC code of 000-41415-15961.

Customers should return the dip to the Publix of purchase for a full refund. Those with questions can call 800-242-1227 or visit Publix’s website.
