Shoes often hug and rub against feet, but Primark Wide Fit Kitten Heel Court Pumps take irritation beyond the acceptable range, which is why 1,700 pairs were recalled Wednesday.

The exact problem, as stated in the U.S. Product Safety Commission recall notice: “The leather insock in the shoes has elevated levels of Chromium VI, posing a risk of skin irritation.”

No injuries have been reported yet and the shoe was sold from January through November in 2019. This covers pumps with product No. 06689 and RN code 145478, both printed on the inside of the shoe.

Primark wants customers to return the shoes to the store of purchase for a full refund.
