Accused of acting as courtroom liaisons between their cousin, a jailed murder suspect, and his awaiting getaway driver, a pair of 17-year-old identical twins will be tried as adults in a daring courthouse escape that seemed a success for nearly a week.

Kretron and Tre’Von Barnes, of West Palm Beach, have each been charged with four felonies: escape, accessory after the fact, aiding an escape and attempting to solicit or conspire burglary. Adult charges typically carry more severe sentences than juvenile charges and could mean, upon conviction, a life-long criminal record.
