Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s son, in an appearance this week on Fox News’s “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren, says the highly controversial near-drowning “waterboarding” practice isn’t torture.

Speaking in an interview about his dad’s presidential campaign, the younger Trump said it “quite frankly is no different than what happens on college campuses and frat houses every day. And, you know, the man would keep this country safe. There is no question about it.”

In 2012, The New York Times reported about fraternity members using waterboarding techniques in a disturbing hazing scandal.

Donald Trump said Saturday night at a Republican debate in New Hampshire that he would "bring back waterboarding,” adding, “And I would bring back a hell of a lot worse."
