There are many reasons we love Henry Cavill, aside from the obvious, big one: He’s gorgeous.
The Brit also seems like a really good guy, and not just because he played such a noble character as Superman.
Cavill is also a bona fide animal lover.
How do we know? He brings his dog to work.
On Thursday night, the actor surprised fans by popping up at a screening at Regal South Beach of his latest movie, Mission Impossible: Fallout, out Friday.
And the Man of Steel brought Kal, an American Akita, on a leash into the theater. That may be a celebrity first.
The dog behaved and even posed for a few selfies, while people in the audience tried to figure out who was cuter, the owner or the pet.
The following morning, Cavill was up bright and early (sans dog) at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Miami downtown to chat more about the flick, starring Tom Cruise.
The “Justice League” star plays a CIA killer spy; his character is pretty dark and Cavill said that can be “fun.” Especially the outlandish stunts (the hair raising helicopter scene comes to mind).
Trivia: Cavill keeps a place in South Florida and is often seen around town.
His must stops? “Everyone should go to the beach, visit the Everglades and someone very close to me said you need to eat Cuban food.”
