Possible Miami Dolphins draft prospect, safety Kenny Vaccaro, is in town
With the NFL Draft just nine days off, the Dolphins brought in Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro for a visit Tuesday, the last day college prospects were allowed to travel to teams’ facilities.
“Miami visit went great,” Vaccaro tweeted Tuesday afternoon. “One more left!”
That final stop on his predraft tour, he later said, was New Orleans. The Saints own the 15th pick of the draft, three after Miami selects.
On the list of Dolphins draft needs, safety likely isn’t in the top three. Still, the Dolphins might view Vaccaro as the long-term answer at the position, and as good value — particularly if they trade down. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah has Vaccaro going 16th to Pittsburgh in his latest mock draft.
Vaccaro had 92 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass breakups in his senior year at Texas.
