Downtown’s trophy condo, Vizcayne, opens this weekend

When New York’s Rockwood Capital acquired downtown’s largest new condo property last Fall, they began a multi-million dollar upgrade program for a Spring launch that culminates this weekend, in what has been described as “the official start of the new condo era for Miami.”

With the historic name “Vizcayne,” it is the newest, largest and most prominent landmark on Biscayne Boulevard, where the twin 49-story towers overlook Biscayne Bay and all of downtown.

It sits at the crossroads between downtown’s booming new neighborhood that stretches from the river to the Performing Arts Center, and where the growth from Brickell is steadily moving north.

Exclusive broker International Sales Group Principal Craig Studnicky describes it this way: “With everything from $200,000 studios to $2 million penthouses, Vizcayne has the broadest, deepest range of choices in the best downtown location. Combined with spectacular views of Biscayne Bay and a hot city neighborhood, Vizcayne is the epitome of what the world has come to expect in an iconic Miami condo.”

ISG principal Philip Spiegelman adds: “Condo buyers from New York to Sao Paolo expect a luxury Miami condo to offer a great waterfront location and a vibrant local – Vizcayne has the best of both. They expect panoramic views and signature architecture – Vizcayne is indisputably the best of both viewpoints. They expect a resort lifestyle at their fingertips – and Vizcayne gives them their own clubhouse, spa, fitness center and lounge, plus an incredible pool-deck-in-the-sky with four pools and a view over the bay to South Beach... where, by the way, they also enjoy a membership at Nikki Beach Club.”

“What amazes buyers and their brokers,” continues Spiegelman, “is that Vizcayne is a new construction product with a price/value level even the discounted buildings have a hard time competing with. A studio here begins around $200,000, and a two-story penthouse 40 floors higher is still under $2 million. Vizcayne is one-of-a-kind in this market.”

Vizcayne opens to the public this weekend, with a wide range of decorated models and a 34th floor sales center featuring spectacular views. Free valet parking is at the South lobby entrance at 253 NE 2nd St., just off Biscayne Boulevard. For more information, log on to Vizcayne.com, or call 786-347-7440.
