The Herald inside Haiti: Alfonso Chardy

A native of Mexico, Alfonso Chardy is a veteran journalist who works at El Nuevo Herald covering transportation and immigration. He previously worked at The Miami Herald covering transportation, immigration, the Cuban American community in South Florida and Latin American and Caribbean policy issues in Washington where he was a member of the team that won the Pulitzer Prize in 1987 for discovering Oliver North's role in the Iran-Contra affairs.
