Just The Funny Theater and Training Center host the Miami Improv Festival 2023
The Just The Funny Theater & Training Center, located at 3119 Coral Way, will host the Miami Improv Festival. The four-day festival featuring the best in improv and sketch comedy from around the world, beginning on Thursday, January 12, 2023 runs through Sunday, January 15, 2023. As Miami’s flagship comedy event and one of the world’s top improv festivals, MIF’s current edition blasts it out with a star-studded line up of top improv and sketch comedy performers from across the world, performing performances and teaching workshops at the festival.
One of the world’s top improv festivals, MIF’s current edition features a star-studded lineup of top improv and sketch comedians from around the globe performing and teaching workshops. This year’s Miami Improv Festival will feature 39 acts, including HERE The Improvised Musical Play, Ruby Rocket, Escandalo and Sutton and Hallal, some of which are world-renowned.
Headlining the festival, HERE– The Improvised Musical Play, out of both Chicago and Columbus, Illinois, showcases the unique musical talents of veteran improvisers Tara DeFrancisco and Rance Rizzutto. Here creates a completely improvised musical with all of the comedic and sometimes dramatic twists and turns, that you would find in any Broadway show, only this one is totally inspired by audience suggestions.
Also on stage, Ruby Rocket, makes its return to Miami, with its over-the-top brand of improv, with stunning visuals and crazy characters performing a complete film noir movie based on your suggestions.
The public may join in on the fun at MIF 2023 by signing up for one of the seven improv master class workshops led by some of the most respected names in improv and sketch comedy, including Stacey Hallal, Mark Sutton, Tara DeFrancisco, Rance Rizzutto and Dylan Rhode.
MIF 2023 is offering reduced Festival Passes and Nightly Passes to allow audiences on any budget to get access to all of these excellent acts. This will encourage more people to check out improv and sketch comedy.
