What’s a night owl to do during SOBEWFF? Here’s a list of where to indulge your late-night food cravings
If you’ve got a vampiric side that is not so excited about events beginning when the sun’s up, there’s good news: you can still go all in at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.
The event has an ever-expanding list of late-night happenings, including a pizza party by Michael Schwartz, a dim sum disco, a tiki cocktail showdown and, in case your soul needs a bit of after-dark healing, gospel and falafel with Zak The Baker. Here are some of our favorite not-to-be-missed events under the stars during SOBEWFF:
Chef Mash-Up, presented by HoneySpot App and hosted by The Naughty Fork: Naughty Fork’s Samantha Schnur collaborates on Thursday’s late-night soirée featuring some of Miami’s favorite chefs and their one-of-a-kind culinary creations.
Sliced: A Genuine Pizza Party, presented by Miami Design District and hosted by Michael Schwartz: Miami Design District staple Michael Schwartz holds court on Friday evening for what might be the chicest pizza party Miami has ever seen. A list of top pizza masters from across the country will be showcasing their best slices, while indie rock band The Hails handle the night’s melodic sounds.
Croquetas & Cocktails, hosted by Eileen & Jonathan Andrade: If Miami had a favorite snack, it would arguably be the croqueta, with its just-decadent-enough fried outer goodness and oozy center. SOBEWFF dedicates a night to it, bringing in tempting variations from high-end spots and local ventanitas alike. Pair it with one of the craft cocktails shaken and stirred by DRINK Miami, and you’ve got a party to remember.
Dim Sum & Disco: Shake your groove thing to major hits from the 70s as you eye dumplings, skewers, sushi and other Asian dishes that will have you feeling delightful. The fun can be found The Setai in South Beach, which hosts the evening affair featuring Gekkeikan Sake and specialty cocktails from Fifty Pounds Gin, Strega Liqueur and Zignum Mezcal, for those that need a smoky kick to compliment their spring roll.
