I’ve been a loyal Korean skincare fan since way before all the hype. I have tried A LOT of products so I’m somewhat of an expert when it comes to skincare and beauty products but I was not expecting this gem! LANEIGE Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer was one of the best skincare accidents I’ve had in a long time. I was casually browsing through Amazon (we all browse through Amazon like it’s social media, right?) for a new moisturizer that would be cream-based, feel lightweight but give me extra hydration since my skin tents to feel dry in the winter. Without thinking about it twice, I added the item to my Amazon cart and checked out. Needless to say, I love this so much I don’t foresee myself trying another moisturizer anytime soon!

About my skin

I have normal skin. I’ve never had an oily t-zone or dry patches but when the temperature drops the slightest bit, my skin instantly feels it and screams for some extra hydration. For the colder months, I usually combine a couple serums with a moisturizer to achieve the hydration I feel my skin needs.

What I Look For in a Moisturizer

I can’t use thick creams because they feel heavy on my skin and sit on top of my skin instead of penetrating it. I usually look for hydrating moisturizers that are lightweight, keep my skin hydrated all day without getting greasy or oily and are fragrance-free (thanks to mother nature I’m allergic to most fragrances). I also look for moisturizers that sit well under make-up and added extra bonus points if I don’t have to use multiple serums in combination with the moisturizer to feel hydrated.

The Product

LANEIGE Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer blew my mind in the best possible way! The moisturizer has a cream texture and is lightweight yet hydrating. When applied my feels looks calm and glowy not greasy. Despite the colder temperatures we are experiencing in most of the US, to my surprise my skin has remained hydrated. This is also a great dupe for Tatcha’s The Water Cream which retails for almost double the price. It sits beautifully under make-up and for those day I don’t want to use serums, I don’t have to!

The Value

LANEIGE Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer $40 for 1.6 fl. oz. To put that into perspective for you, Tatcha’s The Water Cream which retails for $72 for 1.7 fl. oz.
